Daily anal gland support for dogs, in a peanut butter chew – Glandex soft chews combine pumpkin seed, fibre, omega fatty acids, probiotics and digestive enzymes to support healthy anal gland function and digestion. Available at Boss Pets UK.

How it works – Anal glands empty naturally when a dog passes a firm stool. The fibre blend is intended to bulk the stool so that happens more reliably, which can reduce how often manual expression is needed.

Give it time – Glandex suggest allowing 3 to 5 weeks of consistent daily use before judging the result. This is a supplement that works gradually, not a treatment for an acute problem.

Easy to give – A peanut butter soft chew that most dogs take as a treat, suitable for long-term daily use.

Get persistent scooting checked – Scooting and licking can mean impacted glands, infection, an abscess, parasites or a mass, and some of those are painful and need veterinary treatment. See your vet if it continues, if your dog seems sore, or if there is swelling, bleeding or discharge near the anus.

Key Features

Supports healthy anal gland function – By supporting firm stools, which is how the glands empty naturally.

Pumpkin seed and fibre blend – The bulk-forming part of the formula.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes – Supporting gut health and regular bowel movements.

Omega fatty acids – Included for skin and general condition.

Allow 3 to 5 weeks – Glandex suggest consistent daily use over that period before judging the result.

Peanut butter soft chew – Made in the USA, and easy to give daily.

Benefits

Glandex helps reduce scooting and promotes natural anal gland emptying by firming stools and improving bowel regularity. The addition of probiotics and digestive enzymes supports overall gut health, making Glandex an all-around solution for anal gland and digestive health.

How to Use

For best results, give your dog Glandex once daily. Start by giving half the recommended dosage for the first 5-7 days to allow your dog to adjust to the added fiber. Once your dog is adjusted, proceed with the full daily dosage as directed.

How It Works

Fibre is the active principle – The blend is designed to produce firmer, bulkier stools, which is what helps the glands empty as the dog passes them.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes – Included to support digestion and stool consistency.

Omega fatty acids – Included in the formula.

Fed daily – It works through stool consistency, so it needs to be given continuously rather than when symptoms appear.

What it cannot do – It cannot empty an already impacted gland or treat an infected one. Those need a vet.

Why Choose

Addresses the mechanism – Works through stool consistency rather than numbing the area.

Can reduce how often expression is needed – Which is the usual reason owners try it.

Easy daily routine – Most dogs take the peanut butter chew as a treat.

Available at Boss Pets UK – With fast, tracked UK delivery.

Common Uses

Glandex is perfect for dogs that suffer from anal gland issues, including scooting, itching, and irritation. It is also beneficial for improving overall digestive health and preventing discomfort related to anal gland problems.

FAQs

What is it used for?

Supporting healthy anal gland function and digestion in dogs, by supporting firm stools — which is how the glands empty naturally.

How long before I see a difference?

Glandex suggest allowing 3 to 5 weeks of consistent daily use.

How is this different from the Advanced Vet Strength chews?

This is the standard formula. The Advanced Vet Strength version has higher levels of the key ingredients and is aimed at dogs whose problems keep returning.

Will it stop my dog needing glands expressed?

It may reduce how often it is needed, but that varies between dogs and some will still need expression. Your vet or groomer can advise on your dog specifically.

How much do I give?

Follow the amount on the label for your dog’s weight.

When should I see my vet instead?

If scooting or licking persists, if your dog seems sore, or if there is swelling, bleeding or discharge near the anus. Impacted glands, infection and abscesses are painful and need veterinary treatment.
