How to Use

Dogs 1–10 lb (0.5–4.5 kg) – Use the Ocu-GLO version for small dogs.

Dogs 11–30 lb (5–13.5 kg) – 1 gelcap daily.

Dogs 31–60 lb (14–27 kg) – 2 gelcaps daily.

Dogs 61 lb (28 kg) and over – 3 gelcaps daily.

Give whole, with meals – Where more than one gelcap is given, divide them across meals. Do not open the gelcaps, as the contents can stain.

What is it used for?

How should I give it?

Whole gelcaps with meals, by weight. Where more than one is given, divide them across meals. Do not open the gelcaps, as the contents can stain.

Which Ocu-GLO should I choose?

This is the liquid gelcap for medium and large dogs. There is a small dog gelcap, powder capsules (PB and PBXL) for pets with sensitive stomachs, and soft chews for pets that refuse capsules. Choose by species, weight and what your pet will actually take.

Can I use it alongside veterinary treatment?

It can be given alongside a care plan agreed with your vet. Tell them what your dog is taking, and do not use it in place of treatment they have prescribed.

Is grape seed extract safe for dogs?

Grape seed extract is not the same as grapes or raisins, which are toxic to dogs. Use only a properly formulated veterinary product at the labelled dose.

Will it clear a cataract?

No. A cataract is a structural change to the lens and surgery is the only way to remove one. Antioxidant supplements support normal eye health rather than reversing established change.

How long is it given for?

It is intended as ongoing daily support, with veterinary eye examinations used to judge how things are going.

When should I see a vet urgently?

Sudden vision loss, squinting, severe redness, a blue or cloudy eye, discharge, injury, a visibly enlarged eye or signs of pain. Delay can cost sight.

We have only recently obtained the Ocu-Glo vision supplement from yourselves. It was recommended to us for use on our dog who is suffering with macular degeneration. Our ophthalmic veterinarian recommended them to us. It is something that cannot be treated with surgery or with medication thus the use of a supplement.
