What is it used for?

Supporting urinary tract and bladder health in dogs and cats, using potassium citrate to support urinary pH alongside cranberry extract. It is used as part of a plan your vet has set.

Will it stop my pet getting stones?

That is not something a supplement can promise. Urinary stones come in several types and are managed differently — diet is usually the main tool, and what helps one stone type can make another worse. Your vet diagnoses the type by imaging and urine testing, and decides what role this has.

How much should I give?

Mixed with food twice daily: one scoop per 10 lb of body weight for dogs, half a scoop per 10 lb for cats. Make sure your pet eats the full portion, and follow your vet's advice on the amount.

How does cranberry help?

Cranberry contains proanthocyanidins, which are associated with bacteria adhering less readily to the bladder lining. It supports normal bladder health rather than treating an infection.

Will it clear a urinary infection?

No. A suspected infection needs veterinary assessment and usually antibiotics, confirmed with a urine sample.

Can I use it with a prescription urinary diet?

Ask your vet. Both work on urinary chemistry, and combining them without advice risks overcorrecting the pH.

Are there any side effects?

Some pets get mild digestive upset or drink more. Veterinary monitoring is advised while using it.

When is it an emergency?

A pet straining repeatedly without producing urine may be blocked. That is life-threatening and needs same-day veterinary attention, particularly in male cats.
